Jan Erika is a multi-media artist and musician. Her childhood on the east coast of England, in a family thoroughly in-tune with the beauty of nature and the outdoors, sowed the seeds of her passion for shape, form, pattern and colour.
“I often begin with an actual flower or plant, then let the inner rhythm take me where it will. There is a strong relationship between music, nature and my work. It is totally absorbing, whether I am creating a painting for Paul Weller’s home, a silk scarf, rug design or even a range of tableware for Juliska USA. My passion for colour has taken me to paint live in Fortnum and Mason (first ever live in-house artist), The Royal Academy of Art and Kensington Palace this October 2019 and 2020 brings several exciting new projects with English Heritage, Matthew Wailles Rugs for Decorex 2020.“ – Jan Erika
Given the blank canvas of reusable water bottles, Jan used the gorgeous Chinoiserie wallpaper and the formal gardens to the rear of Wrest Park as inspiration to create three different designs exclusively for English Heritage. The designs are named ‘Wrest Wallpaper’, ‘Earl de Grey’ and ‘Fluro Earl de Grey’ and are all hand painted, to create completely unique pieces.
The bottles are stainless steel and have a leak-proof double wall construction to keep your drink chilled or hot for prolonged periods. They are a great alternative to plastic bottles and are sure to become a daily essential.
